Atmospheric Pressure (HBOT)

Henry's Law
The brain is 2% of body weight but consumes 20% of oxygen.
Normally, oxygen rides on Red Blood Cells (Hemoglobin). If a blood vessel is blocked (Stroke) or inflamed (TBI), the Red Blood Cells cannot get through. The tissue starves (Hypoxia).
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) hacks physics using Henry's Law:"The amount of dissolved gas in a liquid is proportional to its partial pressure above the liquid."
By increasing atmospheric pressure (to 2.0 ATA), we force oxygen to dissolve directly into the Plasma (the liquid), bypassing the Red Blood Cells entirely.
The oxygen can now diffuse into tissue even if blood flow is compromised.

The Hyperoxic-Hypoxic Paradox
The modern "Efrati Protocol" (Sagol Center) uses a specific trick:
1. High Oxygen: You breathe 100% O2 at pressure for 20 minutes/
2. Air Break: You take the mask off for 5 minutes.
3. Repeat.
This fluctuation tricks the body into thinking it is experiencing Hypoxia (relative to the high peak), triggering:
- HIF-1α (Hypoxia-Inducible Factor): A gene switch that releases Stem Cells.
- VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor): Grows new blood vessels (Angiogenesis).
You are not just oxygenating the brain; you are building new roads (capillaries) to feed it permanently.
The Inheritance of Perspective
We are creatures of the surface, adapted to 1 atmosphere of pressure. By manipulating this fundamental variable, we can unlock healing mechanisms that lie dormant in our DNA, waiting for a signal that nature rarely provides.

Clinical Context: Safety Protocol
>
1. Fire Risk: 100% Oxygen is extremely flammable. No electronics, no synthetics (100% Cotton scrubs only), no oils/lotions in the chamber.
2. Barotrauma: The pressure change equals diving 33 feet underwater. Ears must be "popped" during descent to avoid eardrum perforation.
3. Seizure Risk: Oxygen Toxicity (Paul Bert Effect). Air breaks are mandatory to flush the system.
4. Soft vs Hard: "Soft" chambers (zipper bags) only reach 1.3 ATA and use ambient air (~21% O2). They do not achieve the stem cell/angiogenesis effects of medical-grade (Hard/2.0+ ATA) HBOT.
