The Inflation of Ego
Siddhis Magic Hand
Siddhis Magic Hand

The Golden Handcuffs

As the Sadhaka progresses with the plant, they may encounter Siddhis (Powers).

Cannabis is a Non-Specific Amplifier of Pattern Recognition.

  • You see connections everywhere (Apophenia).
  • You feel telepathic resonance with others.
  • You have sudden downloads of "Universal Truth."

This feels like Enlightenment. It is actually a trap.

Patanjali warns that Siddhis are "obstacles to Samadhi." They are the scenic viewpoints on the mountain, not the summit.

The Trap: Spiritual Inflation

The danger is Magical Thinking.

The brain, flooded with Dopamine and Anandamide, assigns "Profound Meaning" to trivial thoughts.

  • "I figured out the code of the universe!" (Writes down gibberish).
  • "I am the Messiah." (Messiah Complex).

This is the Inflation of the Ego. instead of dissolving, the ego expands to include the universe. The user becomes arrogant, disconnected from reality, and ungrounded. They become a "Space Cadet."

The Test: Integration vs. Inebriation

How do you distinguish genuine insight from chemical delusion?

The Test of Sobriety.

Does the insight survive the comedown?

  • Delusion: Evaporates when the chemical leaves. Leaves you confused and manic.
  • Insight: Remains clear when sober. Change your behavior. Makes you humble.

The Practice: Neti Neti

When the "Powers" come:

  • When you feel you can read minds... Ignore it.
  • When you see sacred geometry... Ignore it.
  • When you decode the matrix... Ignore it.

Use the logic of Neti Neti (Not this, Not that).

"This insight is beautiful, but it is not the Self. This visual is trippy, but it is not the Truth."

Keep walking. Do not stop at the candy shop.
