The Taboo Ritual

The climax of the Vamachara ritual is Maithuna (Sexual Union).

This is not "Hookup Culture." It is a liturgy.

The male becomes Shiva. The female becomes Shakti. The union is cosmic, not carnal.

Cannabis plays a critical role here as a Retardant and Amplifier.

The Mechanism of Action

1. Time Dilation: Cannabis slows down the perception of time. A 10-minute act feels like an eternity. This allows the couple to bypass the "Goal" (Orgasm) and inhabit the "Process."

2. Sensory Enhancement: Touch becomes electrified. The boundaries between "my skin" and "your skin" dissolve.

3. Ego Death: At the peak of arousal, the "I" usually solidifies (I want this). Under the influence of the Sacrament, the "I" can dissolve into the "We."

The Practice: Urdhvareta (Upward Flow)

The goal of Maithuna is not ejaculation.

Ejaculation is seen as a loss of Ojas (Vitality).

The goal is Urdhvareta—drawing the sexual heat UP the spine to the brain.

Cannabis assists this by:

  • Relaxing the pelvic floor (preventing the trigger response).
  • Heightening visualization (allowing the energy to be mentally moved).

The couple uses the "High" to ride the wave of arousal without crashing on the shore of release. They surf the energy for hours.

The Danger: The Drain

If performed without discipline (i.e., just getting stoned and having sex), it is the fastest way to deplete the spirit.

The combination of Dopamine (Cannabis) + Oxytocin (Touch) + Prolactin (Orgasm) creates a massive chemical crash. The next day, you will feel empty, hollow, and depressed.

True Maithuna leaves you energized, not exhausted.
