The Mismatch Theory
This is the central thesis of our pathology:
Our genes are adapted to the Paleolithic; our lives are lived in the Anthropocene. We are built for movement, sunlight, tribe, and immediate return environments.
We live in sedation, neon, isolation, and delayed return environments.

The Three Great Mismatches
1. Circadian Mismatch:
- Paleo: Sunlight by day, firelight by night.
- Modern: Blue light (460nm) from screens suppresses Melatonin by 50%+. We are chronically jet-lagged.
2. Metabolic Mismatch:
- Paleo: High fiber, low sugar, intermittent fasting.
- Modern: Processed sugar creates Insulin Resistance and hippocampal inflammation.
3. Movement Mismatch:
- Paleo: 10-20km of walking daily.
- Modern: Sedentary life signals "winter/famine" to the genome, triggering conservation mode (fat storage, depression).
The Disease of Civilization
Anxiety, depression, and obesity are "Diseases of Civilization." They are the friction heat generated by dragging a caveman through a processor.
The body is not broken; the environment is wrong.
The Inheritance of Perspective
Do not blame yourself for struggling to adapt to a world you were not made for. But do not use it as an excuse to remain sick. You cannot change your genes, but you can hack your environment. Build a "Paleo Pocket" in the digital void. Touch grass. Lift heavy things. Connect.
